In order to select the device that best meets your requirements, there are some technical data of your application that are important to know:
For liquids and gases:
1. Process fluid
2. Approximate flow range
3. Compatible materials with the process fluid
4. Working pressure and temperature (necessary for the sizing of flowmeters for gases)
5. Minimum and maximum working pressure and temperature
6. Liquid density and viscosity at working temperature for liquids and gas density at 1 bar abs and 20°C (normal conditions) for gases
7. Connection size
In some flowmeters you will also need the flow direction and/or the fluid conductivity.
